A smoothie is a blended and sweetened beverage made from fresh fruit, vegetables along with fruit juice, coconut water, coconut milk, soya milk, almond milk, yogurt, chocolate or peanut butter. Smoothies provide many important proteins, vitamins and minerals that are required by the body to stay fit and healthy. Thus it has a great nutritional value.

Today I am posting Musk Melon Custard Smoothie, a smoothie with musk melon and custard as main ingredients

Musk melon is a summer seasonal fruit. Its high water content helps you stay hydrated during the hot season. It is a rich source of Vitamin C which helps boost your immunity by stimulating the white blood cells in the body.custard choca (22)

Here is the recipe for Musk Melon Custard Smoothie:


Custard powder               3 tbsp

Milk                                       ½ litre

Sugar                                     10 tbsp

Musk melon                        1 medium sized

Chocolate sauce                2 tbsp

Cashew nuts                        10 – 15

Raisins                                   10 – 15

Procedure for Musk Melon Custard Smoothie:

1. Keep the milk to boil in a saucepan. Add 6 tbsp of sugar.custard choca (30)

2. Dissolve custard powder in ¼ cup of water. Add it to the boiling milk      and stir continuously, till the custard is done. Keep it to cool.custard choca (31)

3. Cut the musk melon into two halves. Remove the seeds.

4. Scoop the pulp into a bowl. Add 4 tbsp sugar and mix thoroughly.            Keep it in a refrigerator to cool.custard choca (38)

5. Take 4 glasses, fill ¼ of the glasses with custard, then fill till ¾ with          musk melon pulp, then fill the rest with custard.custard choca (16)

6. Garnish with chocolate sauce, cashew nuts and raisins and       serve chilled.custard choca (37)
