Raw banana and fresh green peas is a healthy and nutritious stir fry. It can be served as a side-dish for rice, roti etc.
Ingredients:
Raw banana 2
Fresh green peas ½ cup
Red chili powder ¾ tsp
Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
Onion 1
Mustard seeds ¼ tsp
Cumin ¼ tsp
Dry red chili 2
Curry leaves 1 strand
Oil 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Procedure for preparing Raw Banana with Peas Fry:
- In a vessel boil fresh peas with enough water, salt and pinch of turmeric powder. Reduce the flame and cook till it is done. Keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and cumin, when it splutters add chopped onions, dry red chilies, curry leaves and fry till the turn transparent.
- Add a pinch of turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt and saute well.
- Now add chopped raw bananas and mix well. Fry till the bananas pieces are ¾ cooked. Add the cooked peas and stir well. Fry on medium flame till the banana pieces are fried.
