DOUBLE LAYERED CHOCOLATE CUSTARD – RAKSHA BADHAN SPECIAL RECIPE

Festivals are the celebration of togetherness, the celebrations of being one of the family. Festival of Rakhi or Raksha Badhan is one such major occasion. It is celebration of brothers and sisters unconditional love and affection. It reflects the bond of affection, love, care of relation between brothers and sisters.

On the occasion of Raksha Badhan sister ties a colorful thread around her brother’s wrist and in return brother gives them gifts and also promises for their protection in all circumstances throughout life.

On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Babhan I am posting “DOUBLE LAYERED CHOCOLATE CUSTARD” which was loving prepared by a loving sister for her loving brothers.

For preparing Custard:

Ingredients:

Milk                                       ½ litre

Custard powder                2 level tbsp

Sugar                                     3 tbsp

Procedure for preparing Custard:

  1. Mix the custard powder with 3 tbsp of milk to form a paste.
  2. Boil the remaining milk and add sugar and stir well.
  3. Add the custard paste to the boiling milk slowly and stir continuously for 1 – 2 min.
  4. Put off the flame.
  5. Allow the custard to cool at room temperature and then refrigerate for 1 – 2 hours.

Custard is ready.

For preparing Chocolate Custard:

Ingredients:

Milk                                        ½ litre

Custard powder                2 level tbsp

Sugar                                     3 tbsp

Cocoa powder                   2 tsp

Procedure for preparing Chocolate Custard:

  1. Mix the custard powder and cocoa powder and sieve it.
  2. Mix it with 3 tbsp of milk to form a paste.
  3. Boil the remaining milk and add sugar.
  4. Add the custard powder and cocoa powder paste to the boiling milk slowly and stir continuously for 1 – 2 min.
  5. Put off the flame.
  6. Allow the Chocolate Custard to cool at room temperature and then refrigerate for 1 – 2 hours.

Chocolate Custard is ready.

For preparing Double Layered Chocolate Custard:

Ingredients:

Mango (chopped)             ½ cup

Apple (chopped)              1

Banana (chopped)           1

Vanilla ice cream               1 scoop

Cocoa powder                   a pinch

Procedure for preparing Double Layered Chocolate Custard:

  1. Take a serving glass or a tall glass. Fill the custard with ¼ of the glass, add 2tsp each of mango pieces, apple pieces and banana pieces. Then fill the rest with chocolate custard.
  2. Top it with a scoop of vanilla ice – cream and then just sprinkle on it cocoa powder.

Yummy! Double Layered Chocolate Custard is ready.
